‘Makerspaces’ For Science Instruction Also Proving Helpful For English Learners

Key Points: Makerspaces is a strategy to teach k-12 students science, math, and technology through hands-on activities. It is providing additional benefits of helping English Language Learners become more proficient in language.
Relevance: Work with students who are English Language Learners in an educational system that is designed around English speakers is a challenge. Finding resources to help with students learning English as a second or third language is always helpful to educators.
