Key Points: This article focuses on pointing out the flaws of trying to model teachers and their education after other teachers and their educations from different locations. Furthermore, it brings up the fact that just by increasing the requirements to become a teacher does not necessarily mean that those who jump through the hoops will be better teachers.

Intended Audience: General Population and higher educational institutions.

Relevance:  I think that this article could be put to good use. At least, the message can. It's important for higher-up's to understand that just by putting future educators through the motions and making them jump through hoops, they will not be creating better teachers. The message can bring light to those who wish to be teachers that there are more things to be done than just finishing a degree and getting a little time in the classroom.

  1. 2. I love the title on this article. Since when does “one size fit all?” The article brings up a good point about the different qualities that a teacher brings to the process. It’s not all about qualifications and instructional skills, but also personality and experience. Maybe instead of reforming the certification process to crank out teachers, come alongside teachers and help them to continue to grow strong through the years as they increase effectiveness through experience and the honing of their instructional skills.
