Malcolm London: "High School Training Ground"

Source: TedEd

Key Points: The stress and issues our students face during school. How they feel from their point of view and why they behave a certain way towards adults and their school work.

Relevance: The importance of making relationships with students and doing our best to find out more about them. Makes you think about what you can do as an educator to break the pattern and make students feel that they are more than what society has labeled them and that they are unique individuals. Take the 3 minutes and watch the video.

Audience: Any adult working in schools or with students

  1. Ale, this video is the perfect follow up to the TED talk I watched for my blog post! You can watch it here: http://www.ted.com/playlists/24/re_imagining_school (the top video titled "Ken Robinson: Do schools kill creativity?). Encouraging creativity and treating students as unique individuals go hand in hand. I think if we implement these things in our classrooms, we can do our part in changing the future of education.
